Marketing and Mushroom Production Assistant
Upcycled Mushrooms is an e-commerce mushroom cultivation supplier specialising in grow kits and growing supplies. We are offering a part-time role which is partly remote-working and partly onsite at our facility in Bristol. The role will be for 25 hours per week for 6 months duration. This job has been created as part of the Government’s Kickstart scheme, so applicant must be between the ages of 16 – 24 years old and be in receipt of universal credit.
We will train you on everything you need to know to thrive in this role, including digital marketing and mushroom grow kit production. We will also give you employability support to help you thrive following the placement. What you will be doing:
~ Creating mushroom grow kits and other supplies for our e-commerce shop.
~ Creating and scheduling social media content for our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds.
~ Collating and maintaining content banks and calendars. ~ Assisting with engagement and growth activities for our social media accounts.
~ Writing captions for social media posts, blog posts, outreach articles, and email content.
~ Creating eye-catching visuals, such as branded social media posts and ads.
We are looking for someone who:
~ loves mushrooms and has a keen interest in learning about mushroom cultivation and ecology
~ is interested in the issues and politics surrounding building better food systems in the UK.
~ wants to pursue a career or gain skills in marketing, design, branding or communications.
~ understands how social media platforms work – especially Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
~ is a good writer. ~ has great communication skills.
~ has an eye for design and attention to detail.
~ is able to work independently and able to manage time effectively.
~ has sound organisational and planning skills.
~ is friendly and has genuine customer service skills.
You will receive:
~ 6 full days training on all aspects of marketing, branding, and design relevant to the role. There will also be ongoing support throughout as well as additional training opportunities.
~ Onsite training on how to grow mushrooms and the processes involved in mushroom production.
~ Access to our mushroom cultivation and ecology training courses.
~ You will receive training in valuable transferable skills, such as customer account management and customer communications.
~ 4 full days dedicated employability support spread over the final two months of the program. This will include training and support with: CV writing, Cover letter writing, Job hunting, Identifying opportunities and making speculative applications.
